Giuseppe Ottaviani became a DJ in 1995. After the music project NU NRG, which he did together with Andrea Ribeca, he is working and producing solo since 2005. Most of his tracks are released on the label VANDIT Records, such as Linking People, Through Your Eyes and No More Alone with the vocals of Stephen Pickup.[1] Giuseppe Ottaviani also worked with DJ and producer Paul van Dyk on two tracks of his album In Between, which are Far Away and La Dolce Vita.
Giuseppe Ottaviani has started to release tracks on Vandit Records, Paul Van Dyk’s renowned label, in 2001. His musical education started at the age of 4 years in Viterbo, a small Italian town near Rome when he first started to play the piano. After music school in his early childhood and studies of classical music as a teen, he discovered electronic music and started to spin his first DJ-sets at clubs and on local radio stations.
His deep enthusiasm for anything related to technology led to him beginning to use his computer to make and produce his own music and when he met Andrea Ribeca and Giacomo Miccichè in 1999 (two electronic music enthusiasts and also DJs) quickly decided to start their own music project: NU NRG - Giuseppe’s starting point as a professional musician and producer.
Giuseppe Ottaviani has been playing music live at most of the venues for the better half of the last decade on live midi controllers rather than being tied to CD players and many DJ's refer to him more as musician than a DJ.
